Changing the Image

Changing the Image: A Challenge....

I love Glasgow North East for many reasons, but it doesn’t always have the best image. There are so many great people here and wonderful community groups.  So I’m challenging them all to change that negative image.

I launched a photo competition in September where I asked the people of Glasgow North East to send me their favourite photos of where they live: the hidden gems, forgotten treasures, and potential jewels, and we’ll add them to our gallery.

After a public vote the most popular images will be displayed in a travelling exhibition throughout the constituency in the new year.

The photos could be of anything: a park, a building,  a bus…it doesn’t have to be pretty, just as long as it’s an image that sums up what you think is interesting or positive about Glasgow North East.

The competition is open to everyone in the constituency, and entries from children will be particularly welcome

I want to hear from you!

Here’s some wonderful entries:

Send your photos to:, with a line about why you’ve chosen it, and a bit about yourself.  If you’re still at school: your age, class, and the name of the school.
